GABBEH AREA RUG
SKU: 34070
The Gabbeharea rugs were originally woven by the tribal weavers in the beautiful Zagros mountains. It was the Qashqai tribe who were known to weave these gorgeous rugs. Other tribes also made these rugs, such as the Kurds, the Lurs and the Bhaktiaris. The word “gabbeh” has a Persian original meaning “raw or natural”. Usually a little more coarsely knotted than other rugs, they have an exceptional charm that make them highly appealing. You will find many variations of Gabbehs and many different colors used. These rugs are made with handspun wool and natural dyes and are sure to add a pop of color to any room.
