The Tabriz area rug dates back to the 12th century. These rugs exhibit a very high level of craftsmanship with simple and complex construction. Named after the city of Tabriz in northwestern Iran, it is one of the oldest types of carpets.
This is a very unique example of antique Tabriz rugs of early 19th century. The rug is absolutely pristine condition and has been extremely well kept and maintained.
