ANTIQUE BIJAR AREA RUG

Also known as "iron rug" Bijar rugs are among the tightest and strongest rugs made. Hand knotted by Kurdish tribes of Western Iran for close to a millennia, Bijar rugs have passed the test of time several times over. 

This is a very special example of antique Persian Bijar rugs of early 19th century.
